Committee Members
The BCTDA’s Tourism Product Development Fund Committee makes recommendations for funding projects that will generate new room nights for lodging facilities in Buncombe County, as mandated by state legislation. Since 2001, the authority has invested over $86 million in 41 community projects through the TPDF grant program. These projects include greenways, outdoor recreation and sports facilities, spaces for visual and performing arts, cultural and historical initiatives, family attractions, and more.
TPDF Committee members are appointed by the Buncombe County TDA. A majority of the nine-member committee must be held by lodging representatives. The remainder of the committee shall be comprised of representatives with tourism, legal, financial, economic development, architecture, or engineering expertise. Committee members can serve one partial and two full terms.
