Explore Asheville Recruits Premier Event Gathering High-Impact CEOs
After a five-year hiatus, the MO Summit will return to Asheville, N.C., April 21–23, 2025, at the Renaissance Asheville Downtown Hotel. Known as the premier gathering for impact CEOs, the MO Summit brings together leaders who are redefining capitalism and creating solutions to the world’s most pressing social and environmental issues. The event features a combination of core panel discussions and extensive networking opportunities.
“We are thrilled to welcome the MO Summit back to Asheville,” said Vic Isley, President and CEO of Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority. “Attracting impact events like the MO Summit is part of our strategy of delivering balanced and sustainable growth for our community. Leveraging travel and hospitality as the front porch of traditional economic development enables us to generate direct spending in our destination and showcase Asheville to an impressive group of thought leaders. Many of these executives will experience Asheville for the first time, creating new opportunities to further diversify our local economy and business community.”
The 8th annual MO Summit is expected to attract more than 100 CEOs of high-growth, positive-impact companies. These leaders are at the forefront of using business as a force for good, creating an inclusive, regenerative, and sustainable future. Local talent such as Alex Matisse, founder of East Fork Pottery, and Meherwan Irani, renowned chef and co-founder of Chai Pani have presented at previous MO Summits.
“We are excited to be bringing the MO Summit back to Asheville. So many great relationships were formed in our last MO Summit in Asheville,” said Michael Whelchel, Founder & CEO of Big Path Capital. “We can’t wait for April to host positive impact CEOs around the country who are using the engine of capitalism to build an economy that works for all stakeholders.”
The MO Summit is presented by Big Path Capital. Explore Asheville is the headline sponsor, with support from the Asheville-Buncombe Economic Development Coalition. The summit’s direct economic impact is anticipated to be nearly a quarter of a million dollars, significantly boosting local businesses midweek.
