Local hotel leaders advocated for a change in the allocation of the occupancy tax, to increase funding for investment in community capital projects and decrease funding for tourism promotion.
Efforts also include Explore Asheville’s formal commitment with other destinations that substantive, relevant, and measurable goals around DEI will be included in our annual business plans.
